Reduce stress by following these three steps:
1. NOTICE: When you first realize you are feeling stressed or anxious, notice where you feel it in your body.
2. SOFTEN: Often, just bringing awareness to the area allows it to soften. If not, see if you can just notice without judgement.

You don't have to believe everything you think-(my favorite bumper sticker, I see it every time I'm in San Francisco.). We typically do believe our thoughts but really don't have to. The next time you have an unpleasant thought, notice it. Watch how it arises, stays for a while and passes away. It's helpful when we see that thoughts aren't permanent. #mindfulnessofthoughts
